I have developed this web page simply to share some of my paintings. If you are interested in making a purchase, please call 405-401-0782.
Showing a gifting in art as early as kindergarten, I was not able to pursue my desire to learn watercolor painting until I retired in 2004. I was blessed with excellent watercolor instructors over a period of nine years: Wathena Stock, William White, Dianne Bennett, Jane Jones, Dee Tunseth, Karen McCauley, and Dora Hagge. Early paintings were of seascapes and flowers, and then over time, portraits and animals became my focus. As I gained skill in detail, I was fascinated by the idea of painting chrome and crystal. In 2015, I decided to try oil painting, so I took some classes with Carol Armstrong in Norman, OK. Finding oil to be intriguing, I am enjoying the medium very much, but watercolor is still my first love. I am also learning the use of acrylics.
Participating in art exhibitions in Madill and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and also in Mission, Texas has inspired me as I have enjoyed the work of fellow artists. A former member of the Madill Art Club, I also served as First Vice President of the Hidalgo Watercolor Society in Mission, TX in 2012 and continued to show paintings in their annual watercolor exhibit at the Upper Valley Art League through 2015. In 2016, I joined the Mid-Del Art Guild in Midwest City, OK. My art has been published in a seasonal program of the Woodson Park Senior Activity Center (a part of Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department). Anything I create on canvas or paper is a gift from God, and I give Him all the credit!
